Pedorthic Care
Canadian Certified Pedorthists – C. Ped (C) – are foot orthotic and orthopaedic footwear experts. They are one of the few healthcare professionals trained in the assessment of lower limb anatomy and muscle and joint function.

WHAT TO EXPECT
What to Expect at Your Pedorthic Visit
Your pedorthic assessment involves:
Initial Assessment
- Initial assessment 60-90 minutes
- Thorough health and training history
- A biomechanical evaluation
- Slow motion gait analysis
- Functional movement screening
- Patient education
- Orthotic fitting
- Footwear modifications (if necessary)
- Patient-specific treatment plan
Orthotics Fitting
When your custom orthotics arrive at the clinic, a 15 minute pick-up appointment to properly fit the orthotics to your shoes.
Orthotics Follow Up
At 3-months, a 30 min follow up visit to assess how the orthotics are working for you and to address any issues.
